  3. 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  4. 1 whole white onion
  5. 1 tsp MSG

  8. 1 large egg
  9. Breadcrumbs
  10. 3 minced garlic cloves
  11. Basil
  12. 4 tablespoons olive oil
  13. Italian parsley

  1. In a mixing bowl, add: 500g beef mince, 500g wors(casing removed), 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1/2 tsp MSG, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 egg and breadcrumbs(I go with feeling). Mix until well combined.
  2. Form into meatballs the size of your choosing, I use a tablespoon as a measurement. Heat a deep, large, heavy cast iron pot over medium heat with about 4 tablespoon oil. Don't try cook all at once, start adding meatballs so you don’t crowd the pot and fry until browned on all sides (5 minutes or so. Remove meatballs and place in a separate dish.
  3. In the same cast iron pot over medium heat, add more oil if needed and fry 1 cup chopped onion until they're soft and golden. Add 3 cloves minced garlic and stir.
  4. Mix in 2 cans of crushed tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and 2 bay leaves. Bring to a light boil. Add meatballs back into pot, partially cover with a lid and simmer for 45 min, stirring occasionally. 10 minutes before serving, add in chopped fresh basil and add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cook pasta in rapid boiling water for 6-8 min or aldente or softer. Drain pasta and return to the pot.

    Pour homemade marinara sauce and meatballs over spaghetti and toss gently.

    Garnish with Parmesan and Italian parsley.

    Serve hot!
